I'd like to share an example of the difference between men and women. Let me begin by saying that Lucas spent his first year in college as an engineering student.
On the way from Phoenix to LA. Lucas hands Kiara the TI-83 Plus that has for whatever reason been left in the car. On his side.
Lucas: Put in 194. I mean, 184. Sorry.
Kiara types in 184 on the calculator.
Lucas: Okay. Now divide that by eight.
Kiara divides by eight, gets twenty-three.
Lucas: Now multiply that by six.
Kiara multiplies by six, gets 138.
Lucas: And divide that by sixty. How much is that?
Kiara: It's two and a third.
Lucas: Okay, so that means it'll take us two hours and twenty minutes to get there.
Kiara: That's a really roundabout way of doing that.
Lucas: What?
Kiara: Well, I would just divide the distance by how fast we're going. You know, 184 divided by 80. See? That's still two and a third.
Lucas: Oh.
Men always wanna do it the hard way.
Also, when we were walking to the post today, this man dug his hand all the way down his pants and under his skivvies to SCRATCH HIS ASS. It was so hilarious.

Okay, at first I thought the blog name was for your initials put together and I know it still is but also from RHCP's "So Much I"? Good job. Any Frusciante sightings while you were in town?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Mom
Kiara says, 'yay, Mom,' for recognizing the title.
ReplyDeleteWe thought it had mutliple layers of meaning:
1) Kiara-Lucas-Marks
2) all sequential letters
3) first concert together (the tickets were purchased just weeks after we met for a show MONTHS in advance....and it all worked out)
4) the album is really emblematic of the June after we met. In an admission of guilt, I can recall drinking half a bottle of wine and cranking this song up while I cooked a steak on the grill...sorry 'tjmarks'.
